New features/Enhancements New fixes
2.3.14

This release contains the following new features or enhancements:

  • Third-party component upgrades:
      • OpenJDK - 24.0.1
      • PostGRE SQL - 17.4-2
      • PostGRE JDBC - 42.7.5
  • Added hardening for better encryption
  • Added Symroot3 support
  • Added the retention of HTTPS migration-related properties after upgrade.
  • Increased the catalog file size limit to avoid interruptions in the customer's environment if the catalog size continues to grow.
  • Added TLS 1.3 support and removed the support for TLSv1
  • Upgraded postgres, Tomcat and the Commons FileUpload library
  • Redesigned the import/export feature to use XML as the content transfer mechanism instead of the serialized content.

This release contains the following fixes:

  • Fixed the issue with the default certificate file during the upgrade
  • Fixed the secure connection checkbox on the Edit AD server page which now reflects the checked and unchecked status appropriately
2.3.13

This release contains the following new features or enhancements:

  • Upgrade openJDK to version 22.0.1
  • Upgrade Apache Tomcat to version 9.0.90
  • Upgrade Apache Commons FileUpload to version 1.5

This release contains the following fixes:

  • LiveUpdate Administrator no longer checks the root location of the source server for an HTTP 200 response.

In prior releases, you had to either enable directory listing at the root location of the source server, which posed a security risk. Or you had to set up a redirection for the root location so that when LiveUpdate Administrator checked for an HTTP 200 response, the response would pass. These requirements are now eliminated.

  • The product encodes the full download URL so that downloads do not fail when a package name contains spaces.

  • The SMTP mail server maximum password size is increased from 20 characters to 200 characters. The increased size is intended to accommodate customers with more stringent password policies.

Fixed the issues with importing the lua.xml configuration file as well. This file hosts the SMTP server password.

  • Removed unnecessary code to prevent LiveUpdate Administrator from throwing exceptions when there is no SMTP configuration in place.

2.3.12
This release contains the following new features or enhancements.
  • Support for the Microsoft Edge browser.
  • Both strict baseDN syntax and FQDN formats are supported when you add or change an AD user server.
  • Third-party component upgrades:
    • Tomcat - 8.5.90
    • PostGRE SQL - 12.15-2
    • OpenJDK - 20.0.1
  • Increased the length of the proxy password to 5000 characters.

This release contains the following fixes:

  • Fixed the incorrect event logging on AD/LDAP login failure.

  • Resolved import failure with "Unknown" exception that occurs while saving the specified Location profile.

  • Fixed issue with scheduled jobs failing to run after upgrade.

2.3.11
  • This release contains the following new features or enhancements.
    • You can now encrypt the authentication process to the LiveUpdate Administrator console using LDAPS (LDAP over SSL).  Add or modify an Active Directory account and select the option Use Secure  Connection.  When you select this option, the default port is changed to port 636.
    • You can upgrade LiveUpdate Administrator from the same version, but with an older build number.
  • This release contains the following fixes:
    • Issue:  Customers are unable to add a directory server because their BaseDN does not fix the data field.  Fix:  The maximum length of the BaseDN field has been increased to 200 characters.
    • Issue:  Tasks finish abruptly during download/distribution tasks.  Fix:  The email exceptions that arose during download/distribution tasks no longer cause the tasks to finish abruptly without proper cleanups and without releasing the acquired locks.
    • Issue:  Imports fail.  Fix:  UseTlsSMTP and ServerPort
fields in lua.xml no longer result in import failures.
    • Issue:  Imports fail while saving location profiles.  Fix:  Imports no longer fail while saving location profiles.
