Issue/Introduction

After changing a computer name, the new name is displayed on PGP Universal Server, but the Advanced screen of the PGP BootGuard screen still displays the old name of the computer.

 

Resolution

This issue may cause confusion if a user forgets the passphrase and contacts a PGP Universal Server administrator to request a Whole Disk Recovery Token (WDRT) and the computer name on the server does not match the computer name on the PGP BootGuard screen. This is a known issue.

To currently resolve a mismatched PGP BootGuard computer name, you must decrypt the disk and then re-encrypt the disk to update the name on the PGP BootGuard Advanced screen.
