Manually update the client policy for a managed PGP Desktop client.



PGP Desktop 10 features a new functionality which allows you to update PGP Desktop policy in a PGP Universal Server managed environment.

PGP Universal Server lets you group internal users and apply policies to the groups. The correct policy settings are applied to new users automatically, as the users enroll with PGP Universal Server. If you update the policies later, user installations associated with the changed policies are updated automatically.

After you distribute the installer to the appropriate users, you can change a policys settings and users automatically see those changes the next time they interact with PGP Universal Server.

PGP Desktop 10 allows you to manually check for client policy updates from the PGP Tray icon.

To check for policy updates


  1. Click or right-click the PGP Tray icon.
  2. Select Update Policy.
