Issue/Introduction

This article describes how to resolve an Incorrect Name/Organization error when authorizing a PGP license number.

 

Resolution

A Incorrect Name/Organization error indicates that the Name and Organization previously assigned to this license number are incorrect. The Name and Organization is set by the first successful authorization of the license.

If you are moving PGP Desktop from one computer to another, the Name and Organization can be obtained by clicking the PGP Tray icon and selecting About PGP Desktop. The license information is displayed in the upper right corner.
 

For PGP Desktop 10.1.x and newer licenses or if you have received a new license, you must use Authorized User for the Name and Authorized Company for the Organization.
