This issue occurs when an intermediate certificate is imported to the server when an SSL certificate exists on the PGP Universal Server. This causes the server to not properly create the .chain file for the certificate and thereby causing the certificate pop-up warning on the PGP Desktop clients. If the intermediate certificate is imported prior to the SSL certificate, the .chain file is properly created and the pop-up warning will not be displayed on the client.
To workaround the issue, use the following steps to update the .chain file for the certificate.
- Login to the PGP Universal Server administrative interface.
- Click the Services card then select the Web Messenger tab.
- Click the Disable button next to Web Messenger.
- Re-enable the Web Messenger service by clicking Enable.
This should cause the server to rebuild the .chain file and correct the linking for the certificates.
Note: If the Web Messenger Feature is not enabled on your PGP Universal Server, enable the service and click Save then disable the Web Messenger service and click Save. |
