Issue/Introduction

This article describes how to add users to the PGP Whole Disk Encryption User Access list automatically during enrollment.

This applies to PGP Desktop 9.9.1 and above clients being managed by PGP Universal Server 2.9.1 and above.

Resolution

Beginning with version 9.9.1 of PGP Desktop, PGP Universal Server managed users are automatically added to the PGP Whole Disk Encrypted User Access list. After enrolling a user on a system and performing PGP Whole Disk Encryption, if another user logs into the system and begins enrollment with the server, you are prompted to enter a passphrase or Windows password (if using the Single Sign-On feature) at the PGP Disk Assistant wizard.

After the PGP Disk Assistant completes the user is automatically added to the User Access list.

In versions 9.9.0 and older of PGP Desktop, after enrolling a user to a system which is whole disk encrypted, you must manually add the user to the User Access list for the disk.
