Issue/Introduction


When encrypting a disk on a stand alone PGP Desktop client using the PGP CAPS Activation Package for PGP Whole Disk Encryption, you receive the following error:

Operation secure disk failed: Error code 1030: PGPClientError#1030

Resolution


Note: This article applies to the PGP CAPS Activation Package for PGP Whole Disk Encryption. The PGP CAPS Activation Package for PGP Whole Disk Encryption is available on PGP Desktop 9.9 running on Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Even though the error is displayed, encryption of the disk will continue. This error does not affect the success of PGP Whole Disk Encryption.

This issue is fixed in PGP Desktop 9.9.1 and above.
