  • PGP Universal Desktop Email Deployment
A PGP Desktop Email deployment includes PGP Universal Server installation and setup to configure licenses, enrollment parameters, initial email policies, and create a customized PGP Desktop Email installer. Test deployment of at least a single desktop client and sending an encrypted email is part of the overall acceptance plan.

  • PGP Universal Gateway Email Deployment
PGP Universal Gateway Email deployments involve integrating email encryption with the client's email infrastructure. Deployment services include configuring mail routes and basic encryption policies for internal and external users. Sending and receiving email messages that invoke encryption policy for both internal and external users is part of the overall acceptance plan.

  • PGP ExpertAssist Block Time
PGP Professional Services consultants are ready to provide assistance in design, integration, upgrades, and testing on a per hour basis. PGP ExpertAssist services are booked with a 2 hour minimum. An introductory call determines service objectives and expected services duration.
To make your deployment a success, every Remote Deployment Service package includes three standard components:

  • Install and Configure PGP Universal Server
  • Install and Enroll a PGP Universal Server client
  • Deployment Handoff
With each deployment phase critically linked, Remote Deployment Service does not commence until all planning materials are received by PGP Professional Services at least one week prior to the scheduled deployment date. This ensures that items such as network changes, hardware procurement, and server modifications are completed in advance of deployment commencing.

Install and Configure PGP Universal Server
PGP Professional Services consultants expedite deployments by remotely connecting to the client’s Universal Server and performing basic configuration settings while the client observes. This configuration may include:

  • Setting the PGP Universal™ Server environmental variables
  • Installing the licenses
  • Applying the organization's certificate
  • Creating and configuring encryption policies for client applications
  • Enabling directory synchronization or establishing appropriate mail routes for email enrollment
  • Creating a customized MSI installer for end user deployment
After PGP Universal™ Server is installed and configured; PGP Professional Services consultants review the configuration with the client and proceed to the client deployment step.

Installing and Enroll a PGP Universal Server Client
After PGP Universal Server is configured for enrollment, at least one PGP Desktop client or PGP Universal Gateway Email account will be enrolled. This ensures client connectivity and validates the expected policy enforcement. For email encryption, mail flow will be verified in addition to policy enforcement.

Deployment Handoff
With server and client configurations validated, PGP Professional Services walks clients through navigating PGP Universal™ Server to view user policy, device encryption status, Whole Disk Recovery Tokens, and applicable logs. General administrative functions will also be introduced including adding administrators and performing server backup, restore and update.
