This article details how to add or remove keyservers in PGP Desktop.

The following instructions will detail how to Add, Edit, and Remove keyservers in PGP Desktop.


The PGP Keyserver List can be accessed in either of the following methods.

 

  1. Open PGP Desktop, click on Tools from the PGP Desktop menu and select Edit Keyservers...
  2. Click on the PGP Lock icon in the Tray, select Options, and click on the Keys tab. In the Synchronization section, click the Keyservers... button.

 

Add keyserver to Keyserver List in PGP Desktop

  1. In the PGP Keyservers List dialogue, select the Add button.
  2. Select the Type of keyserver which will be added. (PGP Keyserver LDAP using port 389 is the most commonly used)
  3. Add the Address of the keyserver that will be searched.
  4. Click OK to complete the addition of the new keyserver.

 

Remove keyservers in Keyserver List in PGP Desktop

  1. In the PGP Keyservers List dialogue, select the desired keyserver for removal.
  2. Click the Remove button and the entry for the keyserver will be removed from the Keyserver List.

 

Edit keyservers in Keyserver List in PGP Desktop

  1. In the PGP Keyservers List dialogue, select the desired keyserver for editing.
  2. Click the Edit button.
  3. The selected keyserver properties are available to edit.
  4. Click OK to save any changes to the keyserver properties.
