Issue/Introduction

Although PGP Desktop is configured to automatically synchronize keys with servers, keys are not synchronized with PGP Universal Server when expected.

Resolution

Workaround

Although synchronization does not occur immediately after users make changes to their keys, it does occur when PGP services are started. Thus, the simple workaround is to stop and restart PGP services. Before completing the following steps, make sure your email client application is closed.

 

  1. Click the PGP Tray icon, then click Stop PGP Services or Exit PGP Services.
  2. Click Yes on the PGP Alert:
  3. To restart PGP services, simply click Start > (All) Programs > Startup > PGPtray.exe.
