Issue/Introduction

Upgrading Database Management Solutions for Db2 for z/OS product suite and encountering a
system abend 306 with Reason Code=0C accessing RC/Update.

Resolution

S306 - 0C abend: 
An authorized program requested, by a LINK(X), LOAD, XCTL(X) or ATTACH(X) macro, a module in a non-APF-authorized
library or concatenation of libraries. 

The S306-0C abend is an authorization problem.  Check all your libraries are correctly APF authorized.
