Collection Evaluation Reporting job gives error 'An error occured in ReportSync activity. No DPS with Reporting Role is configured for reporting database synchronization.'

Issue/Introduction

We get error 'An error occured in ReportSync activity. No DPS with Reporting Role is configured for reporting database synchronization' while running the Collection Evaluation Reporting job in CCS 9.0.1 Reporting and Analytics.

Cause

Symantec Data Processing Service Component is installed. But the DPS with Reporter role is not set correctly.

Resolution

Follow the steps below to resolve the issue:

1. Go to Settings -> General after launching the CCS console.
2. Under System Configuration option on the left hand side, click on DPS for Reporting Synchronization and click ADD.
3. Verify that the option 'The DPS currently configured to be used for synchronization : Not configured' is displayed.
4. Under DPS to be used as reporting synchronization, pick the server which need to be set as the DPS Reporter role.
5. Click on 'Data Locations' and again click on DPS for Reporting Synchronization and verify the settings were saved.
