Issue/Introduction

Is Symantec Endpoint Protection Mobile Edition supported on the Windows Phone 7 platform?  Is Symantec Mobile Security 7.2?  What Symantec product will protect an Windows Phone 7 smartphone?

Resolution

Symantec Mobile Security 7.2 (SMS 7.2) and the legacy Symantec Endpoint Protection Mobile Edition 6.0.1 (SEPME 6.0.1) currently support Windows Mobile 5 through Windows Mobile 6.5.  This document will be updated when a Symantec product release is available that is certified for the new Windows Phone 7 operating system.
