I cannot upgrade the appliance because I get an error leading to dependency issues.

Cause
A possible issue could be a file created in a temporary directory. This lock file takes busy the instalaltion process when it is run by "update download" command.
"delete sudata" doesn't fix the issue.
Resolution
Call Symantec technical Support to remove the file from the system.
