Liveupdate failed and report http 404 error.

Issue/Introduction

In liveupdate log, it display:

httpSendRequest (status 404): Request failed - File does not exist on the server. 9/25/2010, 6:49:48 GMT -> Progress Update: DOWNLOAD_FILE_START: URL: "http://liveupdate.symantecliveupdate.com/sesm$20antivirus$20client$20win32_11.0.0_simplified$20chinese_livetri.zip", Estimated Size: 0, Destination Folder: "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\LiveUpdate\Downloads" 9/25/2010, 6:49:48 GMT -> HttpSendRequest (status 404): Request failed - File does not exist on the server.

Cause

IE enhance security is high

Resolution

Changing   the IE security option to middle or low can resolve  this issue.

Open IE-->tools-->Internet options-->security-->security level to this zone
