Issue/Introduction

You receive this error message after installing Symantec Endpoint Protection when the computer reboots.

Error: "File Version Mismatch - cannot load ProtectionUtilRes.dll"

Resolution

 

 

1. Un-install Symantec Endpoint Protection from Add/Remove programs.
2. Delete the Symantec Endpoint Protection folder.
3. C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection
4. Restart the computer.
5. Re-install Symantec Endpoint Protection.
