Issue/Introduction

In the eventlog of the Deployment Server, the following events are recorded from source mm or source Deployment Server:

The description for Event ID ( x ) in Source ( mm / Deployment Server ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details.

Cause

The .DLL which helps the eventlog to translate the events from DS is not known to the Eventlog.

Resolution

Add the following registry keys to the registry on your Deployment Server:

Note: Change the path for the EventMessageFile to the location where you installed your Deployment Server!
