Issue/Introduction

A number of Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) logs, reports and notifications show a field by the name of "Last Download" or "Last Download Time". The list includes, but not limited to, computer status log details, exported computer status log, virus definitions out-of-date notifications. The value of this field is never or a date/time unexpected. You want to understand what this field means.

Resolution

Last Download Time is the last time the SEP client downloaded content from a LiveUpdate server. It is NOT the last time the client downloaded content from the SEPM.
