Issue/Introduction
Error when running a MSSQL check on a Windows CCS agent:
Symptoms
Error "\[DBNETLIB\]\ [ConnectionOpen (Connect ().\] SQL Server does not exist or access denied. "
Resolution
This error can occur in one of the following scenarios
- MSSQL server that is being scanned is an old version no longer supported by CCS
- Firewall is enabled
- Remote access is not configured on the SQL Server
- The credential user does not have the required privileges to connect to the target server
Check to see if any of the above mentioned exist.
