How to restart Optimizer/II without IPL the system?

Issue/Introduction

After applied PTFs or maintenance, Optimizer/II can be restarted without an IPL. How this can be done?.

Resolution

These are the steps to restart Optmizer/II without an IPL:

- Since the Optimizer/II load library is in LINKLIST, need to refresh LLA and LINKLIST.

- And then run CAS9 with RIMPARM set to PARM(RX85TERM) for terminate the Optimizer/II runtime.

- Once the Optimizer/II runtime terminated, run CAS9 with RIMPARM set to PARM(RX85INIT) for initialize the Optimizer/II runtime.
