When selecting a filter in the console the following error pops up in a pink box at the top of the right pane:
Error updating the filter membership. The membership grid may not display the correct membership. Check logs for more details. The details in the logs are similar to the following (excerpt):

An alternate user was specified as the account by which reports are run.
On the Notification Server open “.\Program Files\Altiris\Notification Server\Config\CoreSettings.config”
Search for the following entry:
<customSetting key="ReportsUser"
Verify if the account name in the “value=” tag is a user with valid database access rights. If you wish to use the Application Identity account then change it to value = ""
