Issue/Introduction

On Windows 7 with SWV 6.1 when any layer is enabled , even one empty layer, a WMI query can be observed to make a higher number of reads on the underlying registry and file system. This causes CPU to spike for the process wmiprvse.exe and can slow down log on times.

Resolution

To prevent the CPU spike add wmiprvse.exe to the SWV ignore list - HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\FSLX\Parameters\FSL
