If a user’s credential is lost or stolen, use the SendTemporaryPassword API to generate and send a temporary security code to the user’s phone number using SMS. Depending if the phone number is domestic (within the US) or international, the phone number should be in a specific format. Otherwise, the SMS message may not be sent or received.
Dashes are allowed in the phone number in the latest version of VIP.
When sending an SMS message to a USA phone number, add a "1" before the phone number.
For international numbers, include just the international country code before the number.
