Error 2709 The specified Component name ('[2]') not found in Component

Issue/Introduction

I am getting the following error: "Error 2709 The specified Component name ('[2]') not found in Component."

Cause

A component reference exists in the installation tables, but does is not a valid component.

Resolution

Delete the invalid references in the tables and select a valid component.

This component should be listed in the error message, but you can also right-click anywhere in the tables and select Find Error to find any database integrity issues. The cells that have integrity issues will be red.
