Unable to see filesystems for a particular Unix host.
Symptoms
Error during Authentication
Multiple IP addresses and need to re-register
Verify that the host has been removed from the RMS console bv-Control for UNIX
Verify that the host has been removed from the credentials database
If the host has been removed from both of the above areas and does not appear in the RMS Console;
On the Unix target login as root and run the following and verify that the BVIS is not listed;
Run following setup script: ./setup.sh
The script is located in the following directories:
For AIX and Linux: /usr/local/BindView/bvcontrol
For SuSe Linux, Solaris and HP-UX in the following directory: /opt/BindView/bvcontrol
For example:
./setup.sh
Next select the a option a out of the list of options given;
Select one of the following options.
a : Register agent to use resource name and password for querying.
c : Register agent to use native Unix credentials for querying.
d : Delete registered agent.
n : Notify configuration data.
q : Quit to exit.
Enter your choice [a,c,d,n,q]: d
If the BVIS is not in the list select q : Quit to exit
Next will be a list of registered Information Servers
ex.
This example will delete 10.219.8.42 from registration;
Remove any ip address or hostname entries for the host that was unregistered from the following directory;
You want to also take out the RMS console entry in the host file on the Unix host.
