Issue/Introduction

 

Resolution

1. Create the following registry key on the RMS Console and Information Server at the location, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\BindView\Control\Server\Windows\ECSQEInstallSettings.
2. Add MutexTimeoutInMin as a DWORD value.
3. Set the timeout value for the DWORD value as hex FFFFFF.
4. Open the RMS Console.
5. Run the bv-Control for Windows configuration wizard to install the QE or ECS.
6. For versions 8.5 and 8.6, the install must be done through the configuration wizard to work with this solution. For version 9.0 and above, the install can be run from the setup.exe in the respective installation folders.

NOTE: This article applies to Control Compliance Suite 9.0 installations running on Windows 2003 64-bit. In this case, please run the ECS or Query Engine setup locally.
