Query Building: How to determine a user account create date on an Active Directory domain account

Issue/Introduction

How to build a query to show the user object creation date using the bv-Control for Windows USERS data source.

 

Resolution

Follow these steps to build the query:
 

1. In the RMS Console, launch the Query Builder Wizard by clicking the Red Book on the icon bar at the top.
2. Expand bv-Control for Windows, then select the Users data source.
3. On the Field Specification Tab, expand Raw Directory Attributes
4. Double click the Date Attribute field to add it to Selected Fields at the bottom.
5. The Date Attribute dialog box appears. Click Change Descriptor.
6. Expand Directory in Name <Domain Name>.
7. Expand <Domain Name>.
8. Highlight whenCreated and select Add.
9. Click OK.
10. Click OK.
11. Scope to the target objects.
12. Click OK and Save or Run the query.
