Resolution

Several options exist for installing on the Linux OS.

Interactive install

Option 1
Run the 'Linux.bin' command from terminal session this will start an interactive GUI based installation. Selecting the language, accepting the EULA and
click .. and

Option 2
Run the 'java -jar SetupLinuxMac.jar' command from a terminal session this will start an interactive GUI based installation. Selecting the language, accepting the EULA and
click .. and

Silent install

Option 3
Run the './Linux.bin -silent' command from terminal session no user intervention is needed.

Usage : Linux.bin [OPTIONS] [APPLICATION_ARGUMENTS]

Where OPTIONS include:

-is:javahome

JRE home which points to directory containing bin/java.
-is:tempdir
Temporary directory to be used by the launcher.
-cp:a Append to the launcher's classpath.
-cp:p Prepend to the launcher's classpath.
-is:log Log debug messages to .
-is:extract Extracts the contents of the archive.
-is:nospacecheck Turns off the launcher disk space checking.
-is:version Returns launcher version and exits.
-is:help Prints this help message and exits
