Error "Please select the file for the last segment" is returned when trying to open the image file in GhostExplorer.

Issue/Introduction

 When trying to open the image file in GhostExplorer the following error is returned:

"Please select the file for the last segment"

You can get the above error with GhostExplorer but an integrity check completes successfully.

Environment

GSS 3.x

Cause

The image file is damaged.

Resolution

If this image was recompiled with Ghost Explorer from a set of spanned files, you will want to revert to the original image file.

If this was the original image, you will need to recreate the image.

There is a possibility that you can retrieve data from that image by restoring the image to a machine - depending on the amount of damage to the image file.
