Issue/Introduction

When creating an image, just as the transfer starts you receive error:

Ghost encountered an NTFS volume with a log that has not been flushed

Environment

GSS 3.x

Cause

Windows had been shut down incorrectly - you possibly had to use the Power button to shut down or you had a system failure and restarted by clicking Control+Alt+Delete.

Resolution

Restart and shut down Windows correctly:

1. Let Windows start normally.
2. Click Start > Shut Down.
3. Select Shut Down.
4. Click OK.

Once the machine is completely turned off, boot using your Ghost boot disk and set up Ghost to create your image normally.
