Issue/Introduction

For Subsystem Analyzer for Db2 for z/OS (PSA) PSADSCPY execution does the copy utility obtain the input info from the Db2 catalog or the PSA control file?
If from the PSA control file, which one in case of copy of datastore from two different releases and two different control files? 

Resolution

In general all the input comes from the PSA datastore as that is its purpose to copy datastores. The control file used in the process depends on what dataset
contains your SACFPARM member pointed to by the PTIPARM DD card of the batch job for the output file.

For the input file, the utility does not care / does not read the control file for the batch copy execution.
