Issue/Introduction

Why are there two config files for XCOM DATA Transport?

Environment

  • XCOM™ Data Transport® for Windows
  • XCOM™ Data Transport® for UNIX/Linux PC

Resolution

The xcom.cnf file is for outgoing transfers. This is the default .cnf file to be used if no specific .cnf file is specified. There can be many .cnf files (also saved as .xml files) with different names for different transfers. For example, loopback.cnf.

The xcom.glb config file is generally for incoming transfers. There is only 1 xcom.glb file.
