How is Symantec Endpoint Encryption-Full Disk uninstalled from a client?
Resolution
Symantec Endpoint Encryption-Full Disk can be uninstalled from a client in either of the below ways:
Warning: All drives must be decrypted in order for the software to be removed.
Symantec Endpoint Encryption-Full Disk can be uninstalled through the Add/Remove Programs option within Windows as long as it was not pushed via Group Policy Object (GPO).
In order for a drive to be decrypted, make sure that the encryption has been completed before attempting to initiate the decryption process.
If the software was installed via GPO, then the scope of the GPO will need to be changed or the GPO will need to be removed so that the software does not reinstall upon rebooting the computer.
