Are there any limitations to the use of a defrag program?
Resolution
SEE-FD supports the use of Defrag programs run under Windows. This means that if software is being run while a user is logged into Windows, there should be no ill effects to the operation or functionality of SEE-FD software.
"Pre-Windows" or "Boot Time" defrag programs are not supported. These are extra features within some defrag programs. Disable any "boot-defrag" processes that are in place before encrypting the machine.
WARNING: The use of a "boot-time" defrag utility may lead to encryption operating system corruption which will render the system unbootable.
