Can Single Sign-On (SSO) be used on systems with fingerprint scanners?

Issue/Introduction

Some laptops have shipped with fingerprint scanners and software for Windows login purposes. Will Single Sign On in Symantec Endpoint Encryption work with these scanners?

Resolution

Symantec Endpoint Encryption-Full Disk does not currently support the use of the fingerprint sensor for Single Sign On.

• If you wish to use Single Sign On, you will need to disable the fingerprint sensor functionality.
• If you wish to use the fingerprint sensors, then you will need to disable Single Sign On.

NOTE: Biometrics of any kind are not supported and no support is planned in the near future.
