Issue/Introduction

After installing the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) to the server, the javaw.exe and/or the semsvc.exe processes are consuming 100% of the CPU.

Symptoms:

  • Slow systems, Server is not responding to normal workload

 

Resolution

  • Check the available drive space on the volume that the SEPM is installed on
  • Verify that there is adequate space available
  • Stop and Start the SEP Service
  • Upgrade to the latest version
