Issue/Introduction

How can I install Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) without using the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM?)

Symptoms
You do not have a workgroup, domain or network set up. Your computers work in a stand-alone environment.


Resolution

You can simple install the Endpoint Protection manually on each computer:
  1. Run setup.exe from the CD1 folder.
  2. Click Install Symantec Endpoint Protection.
  3. Click Install Symantec Endpoint Protection again.
  4. Click Next on the Install Shield Wizard.
  5. Read the Symantec Software License Agreement.
  6. Click on I accept the terms in the license agreement.
  7. Select Typical or Custom
  8. Click Next
  9. Click Install
  10. Click Next
  11. Click Finish
  12. When setup has completed LiveUpdate will run to update the product and definitions.
  13. Repeat this process on as many computers as necessary.
