Issue/Introduction

You want to know what error 1155 means during an installation.

Symptoms
Aside from the error, the installation fails and leaves behind an unzipped package in Windows/Temp (or the system Temp folder, %TEMP%). Additionally, there is no installation log created.


Resolution

This error occurs when a 64-bit client installation package is run on a 32-bit operating system. The intent is not to leave behind any files, and to provide a log, so this issue is being investigated. This document will be updated when additional information becomes available.
