What does "Backup" mean?
Resolution
There are three different "Type" designations in the client Quarantine:
Quarantined means the file has been moved from its original location to the quarantine folder and re-encoded so it is essentially in virus prison.
Repaired means the file was infected (code injected into a legitimate file) and then quarantined but then new virus definitions were released that were able to remove the infection and the file was repaired and returned to its original location.
Backup means the original file has been returned to its original location but there is a backup being kept in Quarantine.
