Symantec CCS Vulnerability Manager Connector connects to CCS-VM and lets you import assets and vulnerability data into CCS. The assets are imported using asset smart rules. The vulnerability data that is imported into CCS helps you to aggregate the risk and compliance score of the associated assets. You can leverage the reporting capabilities of CCS to create reports and dashboards.

Prerequisites for installing the CCS-VM Connector are as follows:

• You must have CCS 11.5.1 or later installed.
• You must have Microsoft .Net Framework 4.5 installed.
• You must have permission to access API key and the access to API must be enabled for the connector machine in the CCS-VM configuration.

CCS-VM is a web-based service that fetches data from CCS-VM into Control Compliance Suite to leverage the reporting capabilities of CCS.

CCS Vulnerability Manager 12.3 provides the following pre-defined panels:

Panels	Description
CCS-VM Top 10 most common vulnerabilities	Displays the top 10 most common vulnerabilities in your environment.
CCS-VM Top 10 most vulnerable assets	Displays the top 10 most vulnerable assets and the count of vulnerabilities on them. You can click on an asset to drill down and view the details of the asset.
CCS-VM Vulnerabilities by Severity	Displays the count of vulnerabilities and their severity.
CCS-VM Top 10 most vulnerable assets with publicly known exploits	Displays the top 10 most vulnerable assets and the count of vulnerabilities on them that have publicly known vulnerabilities.
