Resolution

Starting with ATP 3.0 and later, Symantec recommends the use of ATP 8840 appliances as network scanners, but will support the Central Manager role with a small number of clients (10,000 or less).

You can verify which SEDR appliance model you are using by logging in to the console as the admin user and running the command 'show --info'.
