Issue/Introduction

Resolution

Control Compliance Suite 12.0 integrates with Data Center Security to import Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), Intrusion Detection System (IDS), and File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) data into CCS. IPS, IDS, and FIM are based on PCI mandate and the evidence data collected from DCS is used for mandate compliance in Control Compliance Suite.

DCS uses a policy-based host security agent for monitoring and proactive attack prevention with centralized management for enterprise systems that contain Windows, UNIX, and Linux computers.

Prerequisite for installing the CCS-DCS Connector are as follows:

  • You must have CCS 12.0 installed.
  • You must have Microsoft .Net Framework 4.6 installed.

The DCS connector is implemented as a Web Services connector which enables you to fetch data from the external system. You can use the data and leverage the reporting capabilities of Control Compliance Suite to create reports and dashboards.

Compliance Control Security provides the following Data Center Security dashboard panels:

  • Protection Enabled Assets for DCS - displays a breakdown of the IDS, IPS, and FIM policies enabled on assets.
  • DCS Assets with No Events Received in Last 15 Days - displays the DCS assets that have not generated any events in the last 15 days.

The attached files include the following:

  1. CCS-DCS Connector.msi
  2. EDIUtil.exe
