Symantec Endpoint Encryption:
Currently the only way to activate Autologon locally is through the EEDAdminCLI and requires entering the Client Administrator Credentials in clear text.
This is an official request to add the ability to enable Autologon through a script without exposing the credentials or requiring input from an administrator.
An example would be to provide authentication by belonging to a configured Active Directory Security Group. Members of this group would be able to enable Autologon without providing Client Administrator Credentials.
Symantec Corporation is committed to product quality and satisfied customers. Technical Support filed a Feature Request to add the functionality listed above. This Feature Request is currently being considered by Symantec Corporation to be addressed in a forthcoming version of the product.
There is no guaranteed date for this request from the Encryption Product Management team, or the Encryption Engineering team at this time.
