Found when installing multiple Software Updates with current install order logic; the Client requires multiple reboots, but when controlling the install order through managed Software Update Policies, the Client can run the full Software Update Cycle and not need a reboot until all updates have installed.
The internal tool that runs the install simply checks the ID created-upon data entry from the PMImport, and provided by the vendor and developed for installation, so there is no way to manage that process manually.
Workaround; could enable the Software Update Policies in the desired order for each patch to be installed in the desired order.
