Resolution

PROBLEM: When previously deselecting Vendors and Software under Meta Data Import task settings and updating list then new products added to list are also disabled.

Scenario is following:

(1) Under PM import (in Console: HOME > Patch Management, on left pane select Settings > MetaData import task) task settings select "Vendors and Software" tab and deselect (example screenshot below) Microsoft Windows XP updates as described in article INFO3460 (https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.INFO3460.html)

(2) Save settings and run "Vendors and Software" update and if update has been completed and try to filter (search) for new product (e.g. "Opera 38" or ".NET 4.6.1"). After search, it will list new products which currently are disabled (screenshot below).
