Patch Management Solution for Windows

Issue/Introduction

Resolution

After installing CRUW-001-KB3125574; virtualized applications in Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) versions 4.5, 4.6, and 5.0 may have problems loading. When these problems occur, may receive an error message that resembles the following: 'Launching <AppName> 100%'

To fix this known issue; configure the TermSrvReadyEvent registry entry on the computer which the Microsoft Application Virtualization Client is installed per Microsoft's Support Site. Additionally, it is recommended to backup the registry in Windows per KB322756

Advisory: This issue has been reviewed by both Patch Backline & Product Management and deemed unable to be resolved via Patch Management Solution, for the cause is purely on the vendor as it takes place when executing this rollup via the installer from Microsoft. Additionally, the resolution workaround per the vendor outlines modification of the registry on affected Clients.
