How to enable passive FTP download mode for Software Updates in Patch Management Solution 8.0 HF1?

Issue/Introduction

 

Resolution

Prior to ITMS 8.0 HF1 FTP download of software update packages uses active FTP mode only.  This issue is resolved with 8.0 HF1 DOC9271
To download software update packages in passive FTP mode, use the following registry setting after installing ITMS 8.0 HF1:

Registry key : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Altiris\Patch Management Registry value [DWORD]:UseFTPPassiveMode
Value: 0=OFF(Use Active Mode), 1=ON(Use Passive mode), default value is OFF
