Feature Request: for Symantec Endpoint Encryption Removable Media Encryption (SEE RME) 11 and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) to be used together with all exclusions set in DLP only

Resolution

When a customer is utilizing SEE RME and DLP and the desire is to have .exe files remain unencrypted when directed to a thumb drive, a RME client package setting/policy must be set to exclude .exe’s from encryption. This feature request is being submitted to enhance the product to have DLP control all exclusions

 

Symantec Corporation is committed to product quality and satisfied customers. This Feature Request is currently being considered by Symantec Corporation to be addressed in a forthcoming version of the product.

Technical Support filed a Feature Request to add this product feature. Note that a feature request is exactly that, a request. There is no committed date for this request from the Encryption Product Management team, nor from the Encryption Engineering team at this time.
