FEATURE REQUEST: Include functionality for Domain Drop-Down at Pre-Boot Authentication to default to Domain rather than This Computer

Symantec Endpoint Encryption Drive Encryption has the capability to authenticate a user specific to a local account on the system, or a Domain account.  This functionality requires the proper domain be entered before successful authentication occurs, similar to how Windows requires the proper domain to be filled before a user can successfully login to Windows.  If a user does not enter the correct Domain with the correct Passphrase, the authentication will fail, even if the Passphrase itself is correct.

After Symantec Endpoint Encryption 8.2.1 has been upgraded to Symantec Endpoint Encryption 11.1, the Domain drop-down will default to This Computer, rather than the appropriate and applicable Domain value, which will cause authentication failures.  It is necessary for a user to select the correct Domain in the drop-down in order to successfully authenticate the system.

If a user does not select the correct domain, it may be necessary for the user to contact the Help Desk in order to help authenticate the user successfully.

NOTE: This behavior is working as designed and does not have a workaround.

A Feature Request has been submitted for this functionality so that after a migration from Symantec Endpoint Encryption 8.2.1 to Symantec Endpoint Encryption 11.1, the proper and applicable domain will be entered.
