Resolution

From Symantec Protection Engine 7.5.3 and 7.0.5 onwards, Core 1.5 Rapid Release v5 definition packages support has been added on Windows platforms only.

 

Note: Rapid Release v4 and Intelligent Update v4 definition packages will be discontinued by Symantec from April 2016.

 

SPE 7.0.x (prior to SPE 7.0.5) and SPE 7.5.x (prior to SPE 7.5.3) do not support RRv5.
